Those Sekishu papers can be purchased at the shop Carta Pura.
Our product prices are between 2 Euro and 250 Euro.
Pay in cash. It is possible to send the money direct to my bank account via Internet banking from your smart phone. There is NO ATM for cash withdrawals available in the church.
Hanga Land cooperates with the Japanese Sekishu Washi Center, an organization that strives to keep traditional papermaking techniques alive in Japan. They provide materials and tools for making Washi, give workshops and master classes, and hold exhibitions about handmade Japanese paper and its history. The Sekishu Washi has been listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site for its commitment to preserving these ancient techniques.
In the AIR program also meant for foreigners, they have arranged the Sekishu Hand-Papermaking Experience Course (5-Day Program in Japan). Artists interested in Sekishu Washi (traditional Japanese paper) will learn the hand-papermaking process and develop new creative works through interaction with local craftspeople.

Hanga Land and Sekishu Washi will be participating in the Book Craft Fair again this year. This year Atelier Chika Ito, as her first time, can join this fair to show her special artists books using several printmaking techniques and her own made special inks. Yuriko Miyoshi assisted her with her project.
So we would like to have our tables next each other to explain together our several printmaking techniques, papers and inks.
