RUIMTE maakt u extra blij met Japans grafisch talent!
In oktober kunt u aantal geselecteerde werken van Yuriko Miyoshi zien.
Zij maakt bijzonder verfijnd werk waarin verschillende thema’s naar voren komen: reizen, muziekinstrumenten, landkaarten, herinneringen, waargenomen door Japanse ogen en vertaald in prachtige kleurenetsen op Japans papier. Rembrandt hield ook van Japans papier en gebruikte het voor zijn etsen. Yuriko maakt sommige houtsnede in de Japanse Ukiyo-e techniek. Haar kopie-ets techniek heeft ze op haar eigen manier ontwikkeld. Unieke stukken met mooi papier en in kleur.
Yuriko Miyoshi is een graficus (etser) pur sang. Zij heeft een Japans diploma van doctorandus in de kunst (MA). Sinds 1985 is zij ‘haar reizen met haar prenten’ begonnen. Ze heeft deelgenomen aan en curateerde diverse Internationale Grafiekprojecten, zoals in Japan, België, Hongarije, Italië, Portugal, de Baltische staten, Rusland en Nederland. Ook nam zij deel aan ‘Opera Grafica’ in Museum Het Catharina Gasthuis te Gouda (nu MuseumGoudA) in 2004. Yuriko’s prenten bevinden zich in privé collecties en openbare collecties, zoals het British Museum in London. In Gouda kunt u werk van Yuriko vinden bij De Drukkerswerkplaats in de openbare bibliotheek Gouda, dat zij speciaal maakte voor het boek 'De Steken', geschreven door Sasja Janssen in 2014 en ook bij Hans den Hollander Prints.

In October, you can see some selected works by Yuriko Miyoshi.
She makes very fine work in which several themes come forward: travel, musical instruments, maps, memories, seen through Japanese eyes and translated into wonderful colour etchings on Japanese paper. Rembrandt also loved to use Japanese paper for his etchings. Yuriko makes some woodcut in the Japanese Ukiyo-e technique. She developed her copy-etching technique by herself. Unique pieces with beautiful paper and in color.
Yuriko Miyoshi is a printmaker (etcher) pur sang. She has a Japanese Master degree in the visual arts (MA). From 1985 ‘her travelling with her print works’ began. She has participated in and curated various International Print Projects, such as in Japan, Belgium, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, the Baltic states, Russia and the Netherlands. She also participated in ‘Opera Grafica’ at Museum Het Catharina Gasthuis te Gouda (now MuseumGoudA) in 2004. Yuriko's prints are kept in private collections and in public collections such as the British Museum in London.
