2012 KAMI GATARI

Praten over papieren. Vertellen veel met verschillende klanken

Het boek KAMI GATARI is gedrukt van koperplaten in 1996 gemaakt voor mijn MUZIKA serie, een zinkplaat voor Opera Grafica in 2004, handgeverfd garen gemaakt in 1982, kalligrafie door mijn moeder Michiko uit 2003 en handgemaakte papieren van oude materialen.

Na de grote aardbeving in Japan van 11 maart 2011 wilde ik geen nieuw werk van nieuw materiaal maken. Dit leidde tot het idee om iets nieuws te creëren door te werken met wat ik nu heb en door oude materialen te hergebruiken.
